The Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems (RBCCPS) was established as an interdisciplinary research and academic center in the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Centre in 2011 in order to promote research in cyber-physical systems (CPS).

The center focuses on experimental and theoretical research to gain a deep understanding of key CPS components: Sensor and actuation systems, modeling and analytics sciences, control and optimization frameworks and the associated systems engineering encompassing security, verification, simulation, computation, communication, signal processing, electronics and middleware. The center brings together expertise from various departments and in conjunction with in-house research staff and students to develop and apply CPS concepts to  solve pressing societal scale problems in areas such as energy, health, mobility, manufacturing, water and robotic systems.

The Centre has been funded by a philanthropic grant in the InterCampus Program of Robert Bosch GmbH, and also receives targeted and project-oriented funding from other funding agencies.
